Laura Books Speaking Contact Connect

Introduction

Laura Greiner is an author, speaker and Bible study teacher. Laura writes and speaks into the experiences and needs of women today. Her books and speaking connect the dots between scripture and the everydayness of women’s lives.

With a Ph.D. in sociology Laura views everyday as an opportunity for more research. Her writing and teaching is influenced by her day-to-day collection of stories, observations, questions, and wisdom on life and faith from women in all stages and phases of life. Using this unique data, combined with her own vulnerable faith journey, Laura writes confessional narratives woven with compelling real-life stories.

Laura's Personal Bio

Since I was a little girl I have been fascinated by other people’s stories…I use to sit on my bed and read children’s stories about Christian martyrs and I’d feel intrigued and inspired and nudged closer to God. Like most of us, I connect emotionally with stories and through them I find myself more engaged with and responsive to God. I am guessing this is why the majority of Jesus’s teaching are stories− He knew this is the best way to reach us, teach us.

Using the power of stories, my books and speaking offer points of connection between everyday real-life hard stuff and God’s truth.

I am also a lifelong learner and everywhere I go I practice my sociological training…I ask questions, collect stories, hand out surveys, and interview anyone willing to talk with me. My work has become an amalgamation of other people’s stories woven together with my own raw journey with God.
